First website

This is version two of the hiking club website, rewritten from the ground up from version one, first created by Simon Hodgson in 2000. The basics of this current website were created by James Hancock in his spare time between July and October 2005. Since then he has extended and improved to add features and meet new requirements.

This website is based on a semi-fluid (minimum 1024 pixel width, maximum 1280 pixels width) three column design, based on Petr Stanicek's 3 column layout model. The content and presentation layers are separated using XHTML and CSS. The code you don't see is PHP talking to a small MySQL database.

I recommend using Google Chrome for general web use because of its super fast browsing , Firefox is also a good bet.
